This weekend ms. jones and I took a delightful trip to my ancestral homeland of Wales. Long ago in this country a man's surname would be his father's first name. By the time the english demanded a more ordered address book of sorts, everyone seemed to like Jones, so about a third of the population boasts the amazing "son of John" as their name's ( Read more... )

I doubt you will become an alcoholic as it doesn't seem to be in your nature/nurture, but for your own growth of knowledge on the topic, I was very much intrigued on this man's assurance of his words. Perhaps it was his accent that made him seem full of worldly knowledge (I unreasonably buy into the accents=smarts more than I'd like to admit), but it may have been the brutal belief in what he was saying. Yet at the same time the "peacefully" alluded to the fact that he may have just been blindly rambling words that fit well to his little tune. I doubt this man has given as much thought to the issue as I have, nor may he even remember that this even happened. I suppose my entire comment sprouts from a comparison between an ideal of being assured in knowledge you realistically could not be certain of and the reality of achieving such an ideal (ie being drunk ( ... )
