So: I have a number of lj friends who are also at least some-time fans of The Wheel of Time. So why is it nobody has mentioned that there is, in fact, a new book out, awaiting our perusal? I've requested a copy from the St. Paul library, and anticipate having it read by the end of November by the latest ( Read more... )

I've posted about it a little on the other side of the Josie Ziegler friend's list. I think everyone agrees it's better than the last two books, but that isn't saying a whole lot. I'm only 20 pages in, but something has already happened in the prologue, so that is a major improvement.

Well, it'll be rejoicing and dancing in the streets once the International Center start giving me straight answers and I get my paperwork in. Until then, it's doomsday.

Who's taking care of college bowl? Do I need to call in the Chilean Mafia? Are people at least hearing that there's a tourney (unlike last year)?
::sigh:: I miss everyone...I explained College Bowl to my oldest host brother (he's our age), and he was like, "ah, so it's a nerd club!" And I was damn proud to agree with him.
Good luck with the study abroad app!! Hell, if I survived it, you can, too!
