COMMISSIONS

EDITED:

WAY less urgent due to circumstances of late, but I'm still running a sale on these for 2 weeks or so~ Get them while it's cheap.

Background info..

Okay, if you keep up with me on other sites, you may have seen that I got several items lost/stolen from me, and I am taking commissions to replace them.

After purchasing a new Zune mp3 player, I left it, its case, and my headphones on my seat when seeing Laurie Anderson in a schoolwide lecture on thursday night.

When i realized what I'd done, I immediately went back inside-- or tried to. The movie theater wouldn't allow me back in, even though i showed my ID and they have talked to me and recognize me by appearance. When I tried to explain that I only wanted to look for my lost items, the manager accused me of trying to sneak in to see the film for free.

I explained to him that this was not the case, but he still would not let me in. I said I would pay for a ticket, and all I wanted to do was check. He would not let me in. By this point I'd become highly exasperated (understatement) and asked if they'd seen it or knew whether the janitors had found anything. They did not bother to even check the lost and found and replied with "Dunno. Naaaaah" and "Sorry man, someone probably stole it already."

Lost my temper.
Got kicked out for making a scene.
Put on a disguise and snuck back in with a flashlight, and snuck out into the alleyway afterwards.

Sent out request emails to the school, checked the next day, checked both lost and founds.
Nothing.

A week or two prior to this, I had a flash drive and several yards of canvas stolen from my painting locker.

It's safe to say we have a theft problem and I've thoroughly learned my lesson about laying anything down for even a few minutes.

Long story short, I decided I wasn't going to cry over it (even though I really, really wanted to).

Instead, I'm going to work to replace these items (as I need them for animation class badly) in the least amount of time possible.

I repeat, this is pretty essential to my class. NOT doing this just for extra cash, I really need these to complete my assignments.

Here's the deal. Buying the first zune and my schoolbooks has essentially left me pretty broke. I only have enough to make rent and buy moderate amounts of groceries currently-- I don't even really have the option of contributing 20 dollars or so to this.
Plus, I don't have a real job, because I'm taking so many classes that I physically do not have time to leave the house and school to work-- I've been living off a monthly rent/food allowance, and it took awhile to save up for the first new zune.

SO!

I am going to be offering 5 and 10 dollar commissions.

5 dollars gets you a pencil sketch.

10 dollars gets you a flat colored and textured pencil sketch.

All of these are single person or character, no background.

If you choose to do this, comment with your email and what you'd like drawn.
I am conducting all transactions via paypal, and your image will be emailed to you at high-quality.

I also do custom work for tattoos, henna or otherwise-- give me a good idea of what you want done and I'll quote you a price.

For reference: http://bluucat.deviantart.com/gallery/?catpath=/#/d347qk0 Here is a decent example of what these would look like. I don't just scan pencils in, I always take care to make them look good. (Some post-editing, texturing, etc.)

Thanks for taking the time to read this, much appreciated!
