Work Work Work...JOY!

You guys, I have to confess to complete FAIL to come up with anything inspired to spread the JOY with all of you today; I’ve been crazycakes busy with work, preparatory to a business trip up to frigid Chicago in a couple of weeks, and as such, my brain is frequently only partially functional on anything not to do with EKGs, Adobe Flash, and endless ( Read more... )

*KICKS work*

I’m lucky and so happy to be a part of it! I had no idea, when I started fangirling a certain Canadian actor that I would discover so many worthwhile, warm, hilarious, intelligent, eloquent and generous people and I’ve enjoyed getting to know all you, some even in person, YAY! Said Canadian actor clearly deserves heartfelt thanks for inadvertently bringing all of you into my life! (Which I may even be able to deliver in person, one of these days. ;P)
♥♥♥
I never expected to find so many new friends when I became a fan of that certain Canadian actor either. :D It never ceases to amaze me how nice and generous you all are. *sniff*
I hope to be able to thank that certain actor someday soon too ;) I don't have anything yet, but I have a feeling it'll be before summer, maybe even before that! :D

HI MD! I was planning to send you an email...How went the move and everything? I hope smoothly and with not too much drama and trauma. How's the leg climbing kitten?! What name did you settle on?

When I booked the Chicago trip, I of course checked fares for Van, too, and thought of you. Looks like prices are holding in a pretty reasonable range through the end of May (by reasonable, I mean about $450, as opposed to $700+ which was what was coming up for a while there, ugh).

Late April/May would be ideal (although likely rainy in BC) but you're the one celebrating...just so I have some notice to get organised?

I'm getting excited and also feeling less like I'll make a complete arse of myself, you? Of course, that could change, hee.

The move went ok.

The kitty is good, but vety bad. lol Her name is Jaws because she bites (anyone and anything). She's over 7lbs now -- at 6 moths! O_o

Dunno for sure yet but, I'm thinking to take the train. I really don't like what I'm seeing these days with all the crap airlines pull (long delays, missed connections, lost luggage...). Being blind and trying to traverse massive airports and deal with that crap alone (I don't expect you to come all the way to Washington or Philly just to fly out with me) is just not something I'm comfortable with. The train'll take longer and of course there's still connections to deal with, but at least it should be easier for me to deal with logistically.

I just hope they'll give me enough notice, whatever date they pick! You, of course, will me the second one to know when there is a date! :D

I know what you mean! lol Right now I'm ok -- I think I could hold a nice, normal, coherent conversation; but I'm sure that'll change. lol

Of course it all depends on the dates (and cost), but I noticed a couple fares for me (ie originating here in Charleston) that routed through Washington or Philly (which is the route I took last August) so it's not out of the question we may be able to figure out a way to travel together? Another option is to meet up at O'Hare in Chicago and take the long flight together...United has fares from here and Washington that go through Chicago.

Anyhoo, we've got plenty of time to figure it out! Otoh, taking the train sounds like an adventure, too, especially if you have the time?!

Jaws? That's perfect! It sounds like she's gonna be the size of a Puma, not a housecat. :D
