Dec 30, 2009 04:23

Title : Eien (one-shot)
Pairing : Yokoyama Yuu / Murakami Shingo
Rating : PG-13. wow, i wrote a non-smutty YokoHina, yay~me!
Genre : Romance / fluff / hurt&comfort / sap (lolz).
NB : I promised my Bunny that she would have something to read when she'll wake up, and I wasn't able to finish the YaMaDa drabble as I was bawling over My Girl... So here's a thing that popped into my silly brain. It's kinda OOC, terribly weird, and sappy as hell, but I had to write it. Also, unbeta'ed because it's past 4am.

A rush, a body against his own, two arms around his neck, and a sobbing head on his shoulder.
These were the only things Shingo registered in his mind when he came home this day.
Oh, and the sent. That precise fragrance that was owned by one precise person.
Yokoyama Yuu.
Undecided, he put his hands on the other man's back, soothing and patting, wondering why the hell his oldest friend was crying his heart out like this. The fact that he was in his flat wasn't really a surprise as Yoko used to randomly hop in when Hina wasn't there, grabbing food, watching movies, using the laptop. He had a spare key and used it when the distance to his own place was too big for him, the younger man's flat being in the heart of the town, close to everything, while Yoko's home was in the suburbs, far from the important places.
But what shocked him was that Yoko was crying.
In public.
Usually, he wouldn't have let his guard down until he would have been alone, so something must really have been the matter.
Finally, after long minutes of uncontrolled sobbing, Yuu seemed to stop crying, but still he was gripping to his friend's jacket as if he was afraid Murakami would disappear. Hoping the timing would be good, Hina then asked :
- What's wrong, Yokocho?
A deep silence followed then, with the men's breathing as only noises. Yoko's hairs were tickling on his jaw, and he felt the strong grip behind his neck, while he himself was still running his hands up and down his bandmate's back, trying to soothe him. He was wondering how long they would stay like that, when Yuu said :
- I'm sorry.
Taking a few steps back, Yokoyama released his hold on Shingo's jacket, facing the floor, still not able to look his friend in the eyes. Hina didn't have to see it to know that Yoko was blushing, even if he still didn't understand what it was all about.
- I'm sorry, I-your drama-it's heartbreaking sometimes…
- You… Were watching it?
Yoko nodded, and Shingo smiled, feeling the sudden need to hug the other man tight.
This guy, as stubborn and steel-hearted as he might seem, was in fact a big sap, getting easily emotional and easily touched by things.
- But it's just a story, you know. It's-
- It's more than a story.
Hina shut up, surprised by his friend's behavior, and waited for him to explain what he was talking about. He knew that if he started asking, Yoko would close up and never talk; on the other end, if he started to talk by himself…
- It's far more than that, really. In every episode, there's a new way of questioning our own life. It has a lot of realistic plots, and it made me wonder…
The older man raised his head, and Shingo could now clearly see his red eyes, blood-injected, showing how much he had cried, and the way he stick out his jaw like when he was anxious was a sign that Yuu was getting terribly emotional right now.
- It made me wonder what the hell I had left. You know, this thing about the last sight you'd want to see… I asked myself what it would be. And I got an answer.
Holding his breath, Hina stared at Yoko, and this one turned, letting him face his back. The younger man knew that Yuu was about to cry again and didn't want to show it, and that was why he wasn't facing him. And by this way it made him feel nervous, even if he didn't really know why.
- You know, apart from my brothers, the only thing I have in life… It's you all guys. Oh-chan, Aiba, Maru, Subaru, even you… You all are what make my life so happy, so great… I would be nothing without you all.
- Yokocho… That's a bit exaggerating, don't you think?
Yuu sighed heavily and put his hands in his jean's pockets.
- No, I don't think so. All those years, each time I was feeling down or about to give up, you were all behind me, cheering me up, pushing me to do my best at everything… If it wasn't for you guys, I'd still be working at my mother's store in downtown Osaka, watching my brothers growing and getting smarter, even maybe get a family... Look at me, I'm almost thirty and I'm still living like a sixteen years old. If you weren't there, if you didn't pushed me to stay in this industry… I would be nothing.
When Yoko faced him again, it was Hina's turn to be on the edge of tears, while his oldest friend seemed to be calmer than before.
- So yeah, I thought about it. And if I should die tomorrow, the last sight I want to see, it's you all guys, smiling at me. Being yourselves, and never giving up. And, more than everything… If want to see Gorilla-kun smile. Because when you smile, that means that everything's okay.
This time, Hina was really crying. Silently, maybe, but still, tears were rolling down his cheeks. Yoko smiled seeing this.
- Hey, it's okay, no need to-
- Don't you ever think I will smile the day you'll die.
Yuu looked down, embarrassed.
- I-
- I won't smile this day, got it? Because this will be one of the worst day in my life. So don't you dare think I will fake being happy, because I will NOT be happy.
His bandmate opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but the sound never made it out.
Surrendering to his own feelings, Shingo had rushed to his friend, hugging him tight, sobbing on his shoulder. The roles from earlier are now switched, Yoko thought.
- And anyway, Murakami added between hitched breath, don't you ever dare die. You hear me? Don't you dare leaving me, ever.
Hearing this, Yuu started to cry again. His mind confused and cloudy, he grabbed at Hina's neck, making him face him, and kissed him without even thinking about it. The other one responded to the kiss eagerly, and they both felt their salty tears mingling on their joined lips.
It was something they did mostly on the spur of the moment, but it was also years of being next to each other while being not-quite-with-each-other that were flowing back, expressing themselves through feelings and actions.
When finally they parted, Hina rubbed his eyes and let out a little laugh.
- Gosh, we're such pussies.
- Talk for yourself, answered Yoko breathlessly. I was perfectly knowing what I was doing.
- Baka…
A slap flew to the older man's head, but somehow he didn't mind.
At least he had been able to say what he had on his mind, finally.

.OWARI.
