Not-quite-dead but not-quite-alive.
Yoochun wasn't really annoyed by the amount of zombies outside, nor by the fact that the gas station on the street behind them just blew up because of a driver going crazy. He wasn't annoyed by the rain pouring hard on them, either. Nor by the fact that Yunho was impossible to find, and that Junsu was crying like a baby.
- You're such a dork, you know that?
Changmin just shrugged.
Okay, this was what annoyed the hell out of Yoochun.
It could be the end of the world, and they could die soon, but the maknae didn't care.
- I want to slash some zombies, what's the big deal? You know how I love apocalyptic games, now's my chance to try it for real.
Jaejoong growled something that seemed to be "fuck you", but maybe Yoochun was hearing wrong things, even more with the fire department siren whining loudly from somewhere ahead of them.
Changmin made an appreciative noise and opened a now abandoned car to find a gun in the tray.
- How did you-
- I didn't know, I just tried.
Junsu mumbled between two sobs that Minnie was really too lucky to be real.
Yoochun sighed.
Changmin's behaviour was annoying, yes, but at least he could protect them for now.

- I think Jaejoong fainted.

The young man sighed heavily and turned to his hyungs.

- That we're all going to die? Oh, seriously, do you really believe-
- Presidents from all countries around the world have made speeches. It's true this time.
The maknae stood still, staring at Yunho as if he told him that Jae was in fact a girl. Which would have been less surprising actually.
- When, he asked.
- They said today. This evening.
Yoochun looked at his watch and whined.
- Oh come on, it's four in the afternoon already…
- And how, asked Changmin again.
- Burned. Massive solar eruption. The whole planet will get burned up to the core.
Junsu started to flail before hugging Yoochun tight.
- Argh, stop repeating it, it's even scarier! I don't want to die!
The leader looked at Changmin expectantly, but the younger man just shrugged.
- Oh well, might as well finish this level fast then.
Yoochun facepalms.

The Mayas told you, or maybe was it the Aztecs.
It was the third earthquake of the day, and the last channel still broadcasting was talking about all the East Korean Coast being flooded by a giant tsunami. Stuck in their flat, the boys looked outside, to the city covered in snow.
- It will come soon, asked Yoochun, right?
Jaejoong just nodded, and Junsu put a reassuring hand on the baritone's shoulder.
- It's okay Chunnie, we're all together.
When Yoochun started to cry, Changmin sighed heavily and rushed to the kitchen.
- Jaejoong-hyung, I want food! Why don't we cook some big meal?
Yunho growled, and followed the maknae into the kitchen.
- Why are you always so calm? Seriously? How can you-
- As long as we're all together, Changmin cut the leader, nothing can scare me. Deal with it.

Moonwave.
A rush of rotten teeth, a strong heat burning his skin, a flood of icy water destroying all life.
Changmin woke up shaking, sweat covering his body, eyes wide open in pure terror.
He looked next to him, and checked that Junsu was sleeping, before going to their hyungs bedroom. They were all sleeping peacefully.
Sighing in relief, the young man went to the kitchen and snagged some food in the fridge, then went to the living-room, and watched the city by the wide window.
Outside, in the sky, the moon was almost shining.
- Stop giving me nightmares, he told her. I won't loose my faith in us anyway.
When he went back to the sleep, he thought he had seen the moon smile at him.
Maybe she was rooting for him in the end.
