[Don gets up, takes his plate over to the counter, and picks up the apple himself. Leaning against the cabinets, he frowns at his partner.]

What's the matter?

[Don sighs. He could say something about how inaction is usually the worst choice, but it's probably not a good time.]

[After mentally reviewing that for a moment, he picks up one of the apple slices and offers it to Robert.]

[Robert takes it a moment later, eating it slowly, with measured bites. He still looks awkward.]

[Similar behavioural patterns. Similar quirks. Even similar obsessions - though Leo washes things differently, Robert's noticed. Sometimes he's had to fight the urge to correct it.]

[Robert fidgets a little in place. He likes Leo, and is fairly comfortable with him, but he's not certain what Don is asking him to talk about this with Leo for.]

And Don effortlessly tossing the core into the garbage like that still takes Robert by surprise. Not that he shows it quite as much anymore...]
