this hit me today: my dad is as much of a smartass as i am, and this evening he made a moderately clever joke, and comments flew about "oh mark, hes always been that way" and "aww, what a smartass you are.." etc. i dont get it. at 12 i could make a smartass comment and it was cute. at 45 a smartass comment brings about the novelty of a middleaged ( Read more... )

I'm not jaded. I'm probably one of the few socialists in t-town. Fuck it, i'm probably the only one in a fraternity. But when it comes time to boozin, I dont want to think about it anymore. Last year I did. I cant think of all the conversations I had while totally smashed that had to do with meta-physics or philosophy or political ideology. I guess what I'm trying to say is you can still have fun and still say "fuck the government."

dude, i totally know what you are saying. i was just making a joke on a miscommunication, in which i heard you had "dropped out of punx" for all that is beer. i still get shitfaced, and i will booze with you anytime. i was just using the example, which is general. maybe i should have used "no politica!" instead...anyways, no offense was intended, as you are on of the few fellow red left of the b-town breed
