Writing a 15 page paper (i think)

Has anyone else found it interesting that writting papers has become an art of bullshitting and filling pages rather than having intellectual thought and a high quality paper of whatever length it ends up being? Do you think if there were no page guidelines people would write better or worse papers?

So true! If there were no page guidelines I really think people would write a better paper. Being held back with knowing you have to have a certain number of words, or a certain amount of pages just makes the whole process stressful and doesnt leave room to be creative.

I'm stuck writing a paper tonight too :( *hugs*

Sometimes I actually write better papers cuz of page requirements, what with having to find all of the info to support the pages of BS.

But realistically, no paper reqs would just mean shorter papers, with a LOT less BS, and probably a bit less actual intellectual thought n such.

I usually write under the requirement. I am very stubborn about not writing extra stuff to fill space. If that's all I have to say, then that's all I have to say. I usually do well if I am confident about the paper
