That's been the funny thing about spending even just the past few months back in my hometown after being gone for so long. When I left here, several years ago now, I just assumed I was done with all of the people who were still connected to this place. Chances are, your old friends have also been wondering how you've been doing, even those that you may have parted with on bad or shaky terms. What this long-winded response is trying to say is that people surprise you and that time is a great equalizer.
