No secret really that we're members of a Mutual Admiration Society. Was hoping you'd make it through; am glad I've read of you what I have; am looking forward to more as soon as you recover from the well-deserved break.
We are now friends on the book of face! Which, uh, mostly gets crossposts from my twitter, but since you're more in one place than the other, it seemed the thing to do. When you get back to sending stuff out, let me know - I've been slacking on my own collection of rejection letters lately, and I find it helps a lot to know someone else who's stared at the same screens and clicked the same buttons. <3
Oh, I'm still sending things out--I'm just not planning on creating any fresh material for a while. I'll be focusing on painting some more greeting cards for now.
My current assignment is to expand an old Idol entry (Week 31: The Future Outwits All our Certitudes") to turn into a rejection letter later this month.
Your work, as I'm sure I've told you before, was a highlight--I sat down and savored the pieces you write with great eagerness--so it means a lot that you call me an inspiration. I hope to see more of it.
I'm wrestling around with my inner demons on that very topic... I have some new ideas rolling around in my head, so maybe I'll have something new for you to read soon :) Perhaps you'd like to be a beta reader?
I just came on LJ and saw this..it's really been FUN reading you and you know I have enjoyed your quirky characters in sketch and in words..Do keep up the good work. A great innings (though would have loved to see you reach top 10..:/). *applause* and *hugs*
Last time I played (Season 7), I nearly made it into the top twenty, so I think the top fifteen is an improvement--especially with the competition. Because dang they're good.
Any chance you'll still be active on LJ? I would love to friend you here. I have only my RL account on Facebook, and I never go there anyway, and Instagram... gosh, am I too old for that? Isn't it mostly pictures?
