Maybe old is just the title for skinwalker? though i can't quite tell which piece annoys Victor more.
This was fun, cowboys and indians with a spectral touch.

It depends on what time of day it is which one annoys him the most. Because thirty is not old, but on the other hand skinwalkers are very bad.

If I have more ideas and if I'm still in the competition, there will be more.

This piece really utilizes your hip, smart-alecky, whipcracking control of dialogue! It's fun and fast and holds together perfectly! This had me grinning outloud -
“In my book it does.”
“Your book is wrong,” he retorted.

Oh, this is wonderful! I could follow this character around through an entire novel. I love the old world magic feel in the middle of modern dialogue.

Thanks! I don't know if I have a whole Victor Chee novel in me, but if I'm still in the contest after a few more rounds, I may have another story.
