Aside from the question, though, I really enjoyed this piece. These characters felt very real to me.
Ha! You clearly spooked the hell out of the ghost (Ted) :D I enjoyed the twist, didn't see it coming at all. This was a fun read, heading to read the second part now. Well done!
I really enjoyed this, that Marisol could hear Ted all along and then finally let him know how she felt and breaking up with him, even though he's dead! That's cold. I guess the lesson is, if you die, never haunt your girlfriend/boyfriend -- who knows where it will lead?
I don't think she was holding back that she could see and hear him because she was cold, but because she was in public and didn't want to go talking to nothing. Either that or she thought she was going crazy and was trying to ignore him.
But the moral is definitely be careful who you haunt, because it might bite you.
