This was both funny and a little unnerving. The unnerving part was mainly the thought of Max crossing the same line that seems to have brought Heather to the point of driving to a creepy abandoned warehouse to buy pot from some weirdo.
Max's future epitaph, though, his paranoia about having his face eaten off-- and the giggle fit over it that followed-- were wonderful.
Saying yes to her meant guaranteed lips. And that, too. He has a great narrative voice. :D
Speaking from my experience in acquiring illegal drugs, you have to befriend some really unsavory people. How much tolerance Max has for that will be the real story.
A pretty and precocious girl can lead to all kinds of dangerous things - lips and pot in this case. I really liked Max's voice in this and the hesitation he had before the pot was really well drawn. The fugue about face eating is inspired.
Good read! I love the ending! I'm old, so 14 and 15 seem so young to me, but then I remember how hard we all tried to be "older" at that age. You've drawn these characters so well. Kudos!
This was a fun read. I love the mix of eerie (driving to an abandoned building), the funny ('he had it coming') and just regular teenage mayhem and angst. It all worked together super well. So good!

Max may have trouble keeping up with Heather.

(Also, I have never met a homeless pot dealer... I guessing Spencer doesn't live there, it's just a good spot to chill?)
