Cameron had seen his face when he looked at Stacy. She knew what he looked like when he loved.
So when he had that look months later after a late night of diagnosing their latest patient, why shouldn’t she think that he had finally found her worth loving. After all, there was no one else around.

It took another year before she realized that it wasn’t about her. She thinks Foreman and Chase figured it out first, which stings more than she’s willing to admit. But how was she to know?
