I took a break from girls for like 2 1/2 years. But it wasn't cuz I couldn't figure them out. Most every girl likes what they can't have. That's all you really need to know.

Most girls like what they can't have, and that doesn't even only apply to guys. That isn't to say they cease to like it once they get it, however... although some do, especially when - once they get it - it's smothering. Of the girls that I have met, this has been true for the majority, and the majority I have asked have said that it is true of the majority of girls.

Everyone, to an extent, desires something that is not immediately available to them, or perhaps is not rational. We may not even get what we want in the long run.
Guys show this behavior as well, but often about things we are able to rationalize out of the way because we are guys. We may not understand what girls like (material things), but I'm sure they can justify their affections in a similar manner.
In this principle, men are no different than women, and your generalization loses its bite.
Conclusion: You need to meet more girls. Come to Auburn, I know lots of smart ones.
