Opening Credits:
"Shine (Acoustic)" - Muse: A good song if this list was being present posthumously
Waking Up:
"Riot Van" - Arctic Monkeys: Good choice, talks about the previous night, mellow, and a slow waking up feel to it.
First Day at School:
"Believe" - Yellow Card: At first I thought this wouldn't work at all, I let the song play and found the chorus is actually fitting. The verses don't really work too well, but the chorus talks about "Everything is going to be alright, just be strong, believe." A lot of my school years were filled with anxiety, constantly picked on, dealing with a very bad stutter. I used to think the torment I dealt with was unbearable at times. I think it's poignant to point out that this song is about our nation after 9/11, and I am in no way comparing my childhoods bad memories to that, but the chorus fits well.
Falling in Love:
"Never Be" - Mustard Plug: This would have worked a lot better as a break up song, especially in regards to do with my ex, although these feelings did resurge when I started falling in love with Katie, and she accepted me as who I am, and I realized how much my ex wanted me to be someone I was not, or would "never be"
Fight Song:
"Der Meister" - Rammstein: could think of better Rammstein songs for fighting, but now I'm just nit picking, good match
Breaking Up:
"Fire" - Jimi Hendrix: Oddly well fit, since its Jimi singing to a girl who is not interested in him, which was my initial reaction to my big break with my ex
Prom:
"Tarantula" - Aquabats: Ummm....funny story, my ex and I spent the whole time at Prom in a dark secluded corner of the room making out and dry humping, you might say I was all over her like a tarantula...ok, I'm stretching this a bit, but I would be hard pressed to find a slot for this song anywhere
Life is Good:
"Rocky Raccoon" - Beatles: "He said Rocky you met your match. And Rocky said Doc, it's only a scratch. And I'll be back, I'll be back as soon as I am able."
Mental Breakdown:
"Rawhide" - Blues Brothers: I can totally see myself cracking up, singing this song, while shooting people down with six shooters
Driving:
"One Step Beyond" - The Madness: From personal experience, this IS a great driving song
Flashback:
"She Won't Ever Figure It Out" - Big D and the Kid's Table: This song does bring flash backs of me counseling Sam on all the girls who he's pursued andhas been shut down by. Especially the last really bad one.
Getting Back Together:
"Sanitarium" - Metallica: If I ever got back with my ex, I think soon enough I would feel like this
Wedding:
"Spit It Out" - Brendan Benson: um, I got nothing for this one.
Paying the Dues:
"She Fucking Hates Me" - Puddle Of Mud: Need I say more? Really.
Night Before War:
"Zelda Cover" - Rabbit Joint: What an excellent song for this, the story of a great adventurer going to battle. I can see a bard singing this song as I head into battle
Final Battle:
"Darts" - System Of A Down: Good music for a final battle, I'm not sure if I'd include the lyrics, but the musical part is perfect, good crecendos
Moment of Triumph:
"Tetris Remix" - McVaffe: Perfect song for a post triumph dance.
Death Scene:
"That Thing You Do" - New Found Glory: Grossly Inappropriate
Funeral Song:
"Rich Kid Blues" - Raconteurs: as the camera pulls up from the cemetary, panning out from grave, I can see this working
End Credits:
"Convenient Parking" - Modest Mouse: I think just about any Modest Mouse song would work
