For the past year, Heather of Lady Gaea Pottery at NYRF has been fighting Hodgkins Lymphoma. She's been winning. This is FANTASTIC.
However.
Fighting cancer? It's expensive. And while Heather has medical insurance, she doesn't have prescription coverage. Which means the chemo? The radiation? Not covered.
And Heather is paying all of that out of pocket. This is proving quite difficult, as you might imagine. She couldn't even make pottery during all the treatments. When your immuno system is compromised with chemo and radiation, you can't play with clay!
A group of her friends were rather irritated that she would beat the cancer, but the drugs that saved her life would kill her financially.
And they went and did what all pissed off women do.
They got naked to raise money.
So go buy a calendar already!
