OOC: Ah, the Count of Monte Cristo! Delighted to make your acquaintance.

Alas, your Count would not know her in his backstory, because Fuchsia is not, technically, from any place that fits with RL Earth history. She's a character from Mervyn Peake's Gormenghast Trilogy: Titus Groan, Gormenghast and Titus Alone. Gormenghast is a great castle-city in a shadowy time period reminiscent of any and every time within the 1600s-early 1900s. But Peake makes it very clear that the Gormenghast world is not 'our' world...when the title character (Titus) finds a portal from his world into 'ours' and gets very confused by what he finds.

However, certainly we might have your Count and my Countess meet via the Journal connections. I daresay his situation would be more familiar/understandable to Fuchsia than, say, the Babylon 5 crowd. ;) Although she's met them too, and has gone to some marvelous parties they've thrown.
