"You wanna rip it up?"

I went and saw "The Omen" tonight.  It was pretty good--it had me rooting against the devil, so I figure they did well.

...like all the fanboys of the original are saying? I really don't find that hard to believe. I saw the original and it's kind of boring. From what I hear they added in a few scares here and there and actually made the thing kind of terrifying and jackholes on the internet are all totally whiny about it.

All I remember about the original is that there were upset monkeys, and that it was boring.
The new one has upset monkeys, and it's not boring.

It comes as no surprise to me that people're bitching about the new one, but then, people like to bitch. This time they don't have "George Romero's brilliant social commentary" to back them up, but I'm sure they'll pretend they've got reason to hate the new version.
"The fact that there weren't any scares, combined with how boring it was, made the original FAR superior. The director didn't feel the need to condescend to the audience by engaging them."
That sort of stuff.

Descent is one of the Brittish movies thats been out for a while across the seas. Or so I assume, I've seen it at any rate. I'm not a fan of "horror" movies, but I do like caves so I watched it. Its pretty good, probably won't creep you out to much but there are a couple of moments that I didn't see coming.
If you see it let me know what you think. You'll understand why I ask after you see it.
Last two finals, here I come.
