Well, on St. Patrick's Day, if you're not wearing something green, people are allowed to pinch you. And they usually do it.

What? They can do that? Though I guess that really isn't a problem anymore, since we don't seem to have a choice.

Yeah, I think so. You're supposed to wear green so you're invisible to leprechauns. And leprechauns apparently pinch people. So you pinch people not wearing the color green as a warning.

Oh, no! It doesn't have anything to do with the island. It's just something I've heard about before - a part of the St. Patrick's holiday.
