To dream that you are protecting someone, suggests that you are putting up an emotional wall or barrier between you and others around you. Consider who or what you are protecting for clues as to what aspect of your own self you are afraid of letting out and letting others know.
Feel free to tell me to keep this stuff to myself, but your dreams are really quite interesting. Even just the little bits you're posting.
I only very, very rarely remember my dreams - so it's almost like not dreaming. Could explain my fascination ;).
I think that it has to be incredibly hard to have a creative job some days. That's probably why, despite lots of encouragement, I don't want to cook for a living. Ever.

No... I really appreciate the chance to try to break these down a bit... I don't know if I am gonna get anything sensical out of them... but still worth a shot
I remember I was protecting a large group of people at some party... the venue changed from a garden of a mansion to an industrial area... I remember him using the welder to cut through some metal gratings... at a distance (I don't even think that's possible) and using another welder to create arcs of electricity... (again I doubt you could do this... but heck... it was a dream)
I kinda like having dreams that you won't find in the standard dream dictionary... couldn't just be falling or being chased by an invisible monster could I?

Yeah, I often wonder who decides that a particular dream element means one thing. I would think a symbol of one thing could mean a million different things to a million different people.
But, it's still fun to explore.
And it wouldn't be anywhere near as much fun if the dreams were mundane ;).
