The festivities of yesterday were fascinating to observe, though they felt very much out of season to me. It still strikes me as odd to think of the New Year occurring at this point in the calendar; in my home, this time would be considered as the middle of the year, if anything. It seems that we've had three new years in the span of a couple of weeks. So we might have another one in a couple of months too? So far this latest new year seems the closest to the one from my world.

The New Year would occur approximately around the beginning of August, though I have not calculated the exact day. However, I know of no others who celebrate it then; it may pass essentially unnoticed.

Where is it that you are from?

It might or not... this place seems to like celebrating holidays (especially new years, it seems). I think if it's an 'Earth' holiday or custom it has more of a chance of being connected to some curse.

I'm from a country called Dunan, although I don't think our world has a special name. At least all I've ever heard it refered to was 'world'.
