snowboarding!

So, Andy and I went for our "learn how to snowboard in a day" lesson today, and you know what? We learned how to snowboard! Excellent. It's tons of fun and I can't wait for next week in Italy to really enjoy myself and test my new skills. Huzzah. I'm very sore and tired, though. And I have work tomorrow...boo hiss!

Yes! We were fortunate to A) have friends that already do it invite us along and B) have a snow dome relatively close to where we live so that we could learn before going. I thoroughly recommend it!

haha mad props fliss!!! i think it's definitely doable if you devote the whole day to it, no distractions, and basically don't leave the slope until you can do it standing up. have an amaaaaaaaaazing time in italy! geez,i didn't even realize it was in italy. that makes it that much cooler. you so need this!

I so do need it! I'm anticipating much fun...:-)

There's a letter on its way to you, hopefully later today. It's all written and ready to go, but obviously yesterday was too busy to get to the post office. :-)

Where is the snow dome? And was it quite big, kinda realistic? Never been to one before!

I remember the first time I went snow boarding, I was sooo sore DAYS afterwards! I think the excitement got too much and I over did it a bit too much haha.

We went to Xscape in Milton Keynes. It's an absolutely massive building with very realistic slopes. It was totally cool.

I didn't realise you'd been before! How often do you go?

Aw I see, I didn't realise it is in MK!

Yeah, back when I was living in Cali, you know Tahoe was not that far away! My ex was also a skater, so there was more interests. Now I think I'm too old and out of shape to do it again. XD I think I actually liked doing it, but I hated getting out in the cold haha, well and falling of course!
