It was absolutely fabulous. Gorgeous, interesting, fun...the people, the landscape, the horses, it was all just wonderful. I'm in love with Iceland. A most thorough update will follow, probably tomorrow night when I'm home alone after work.

I'm about to call Iceland and introduce myself in Icelandic before enquiring whether the person on the other end speaks English. I need to ask about a tour we want to go on and they haven't e-mailed me back yet...hence the desperate measures. I'm so ridiculously nervous!!! I was in McDonalds yesterday with one of my service users. She's, in my mind, the typical customer of theirs - overweight, likes to binge-eat, frequently orders extra fries, etc.. Hooray! For the first time in weeks, the local five-day weather forcast doesn't show any dark clouds or rain. I'm so unbelievably happy. This rain was just getting to be a bit much.

Don't get me wrong - I love Harry Potter as much as the next person. I've enjoyed the books and, to some extent, the films. I even pre-order the books via Amazon and read them straight away (usually). However, with the release of the final book, the hype is massive.
