If you read this, even if I don't speak to you often, comment with a memory of me. It can be anything you want as long as it happened. Then post this to your journal. See what people remember about you.

What about painting the house while listening to the Ally McBeal soundtrack?

Or the dance with the steak knife to "Threnody in X"?

Or roasting peeps over the grill?

Well yes, there are in fact so many memories, as there should be for a mother, but above all, and most prevalent, the smell of you, as an infant, this amazing smell that was so unique to you, that your father and I, despite the fact that we were growing distant, shared a moment of wonder at how special it truly was. And it is so distinct still, that when you come home after being at school, you say, "my room always smells the same." And it does, and it is the same smell that was on the top of your soft fuzzy baby head. And when you are not here, I can go to your room, and remember the weight of your head on my shoulder, because the smell is the same.
