The only reason I survived this round was I’m the only one in the company who knows my job which involves allocations, production schedules and anything involving product issues in Hong Kong or testing so if they got rid of me they’d be up shit creek. "if they got rid of me they’d be up shit creek."

Without crapping on your relief (there's a joke in there somewhere) let me advise you: never, ever think that. Everyone is replaceable.

Feel safe, for sure, as your position isn't one they could really eliminate (and it sounds more like they're trimming, not replacing people), but I'd keep a sharp eye out for other possible opportunities *just to be safe*. Cover your own ass first - companies aren't loyal to employees.

The only reason I say that is a) no one else knows the allocation process (not even my boss) my position was mainly self taught and b) I'm the only analyst in the company (international & domestic) who does allocations, even when I am sick no one else lends a hand.

I'm the only one who has access to the dot com side of things as well as setting the table in Axapta so basically they would be up shit creek because no one else knows the unless they could learn quick. MIS can't even figure it out.

p.s. I'm covering my ass, the resume is getting updated since I have been through company layoffs and mergers before.
