I sat down at the keyboard tonight for the first time in years and years... amazingly it still worked despite being in storage in my parent's attic for the better part of the last decade. Working keyboard sadly does not equal recognisable tune, however; I appear to have completely forgotten how to read bass clef ( Read more... )

On a competely unrelated note, when you wrote 'keyboard', my brain went straight to the QWERTY kind, not the electronic piano-like kind. I honestly wondered how you could type your posts if your keyboard was in your parents attic... :)

Thanks for the vote of confidence, but I'm afraid that while I *enjoy* playing music, I have never really been particularly good at it. I just don't want to loose it entirely, though, hence the resolution :).

Good point about the multiple types of keyboard! Typing anything in the attic would be difficult, indeed, due to there being no floor (you have to step from beam-to-beam, no light, and it's always about 60 degrees up there in summer. Maybe one of those funky-looking projection keyboards would work?
