...was a first for me today.

It occurred at the wound care clinic at the local hospital. It wasn't my whole backside, just around the surgical site. The nurses were pretty blase about the whole thing.

Well, that's my strange experience for the day.

Doing alright, given what time of year it is. At least work fed us dinner (a baked potato bar; though after all of the carbs, I wasn't feeling like working, but kept on going).

I really want it to be sunny for a few days in a row, as we seem to be getting tons of rain (which seems like it may be the new normal of tons of rain in the spring and then almost none in the summer).

We're expecting a couple inches of snow tonite...after raining all day today. We might get some warm weather by Sunday.

Nope, they have been feeding us since the beginning of March (granted, it is only one evening a week, but it is enough to get me to stick around until 9pm or so, which is a long day at work).

So far, the sun is out today. I can hope that it stays out.

I became an official resident of DE a few days ago.

Yay! So what did that entale?

Gotta go to the DMV (even if just doing an ID and not a license, it happens at the DMV).

Have documents that prove who I am (birth certificate and SS card) and documents that show my new address (lots of ways to do this, I went with a few change of address documents). Hand over the old license, they type things into a computer, take a little eye test, get a horrible photo taken, and then collect my new license. Hey presto! I'm a resident of DE. Registered a vote, and they will apparently automatically de-register me from PA.

Sounds like it went well. Hopefully no DMV horror story to tell. :P

I think the horrible photo thing is universal, irregardless of where or what country it is done in.

Trust me, nurses do this thing all the time. You probably don't have the worst one they're even seen.

It's finally sunning in Sydney. A large amount of Queensland and NSW has flooded. The weekend starts tomorrow. Yay!

The nurses were cool about the whole thing...it was just a bit weird for me.
