epic new year begins badly

I have been working at my current job since late last year. We have been missing time due to rain and low temperatures since I am a painter outside and paint can only be applied in certain conditions. Too much moisture in the air is bad and too low of a temp is the same story. Anyway we have been struggling getting 20 hours a week on a good week ( Read more... )

That title made me laugh. I'm sorry about the job, so frustrating. Have you looked into other industries? Painting seems so inconsistant. Or maybe it's just this time of the year and the rest of the time it's good money. Best of luck to finding something soon. As always I am impressed by you keeping your priorities straight even in these trying times.

Well I have considered changing careers but really I just need to get side work going and then make hay whilst the sun shines as they say. It is good money at times. Also I need to stick with it at least a little longer and I will be vested, which means I will get a pension of some sort. If I get out before I have been in it five years (and so many hours) then I will lose what I have put in so far.
