They are indeed :) I tell Izzy to hide when the hawks come, they are going to think she's a nice juicy rat!

Ha! I've really heard of that happening, though!

There's a big hoot owl that is in our neighborhood. I hear him sometimes late at night...Hugo is scared to death of him! He won't go into the backyard for a few nights when he's been out there with him.

We found a bird site online - it has bird calls. We were trying to determine what kind of owl it was by call - and when we played the right one ( hoot owl) poor Hugo freaked out! It's the only thing he is afraid of. He's not afraid of pit bulls, rottweilers...just hoot owls! LOL

That is funny! Hugo is part rat terrier, right? Or Jack Russel?

I think I have her semi-twin living here. Daisy barks at all passers-by, the workers in the fields every time they get too close to the fence and she barks at hawks and airplanes.

Gotta love them.

How adorable. The smaller the dog the bigger the pair. I can't believe the things Charlie takes on. Although he backs away from the cat that he is bigger then-go figure.

Izzy doesn't back down, we back her down. She actually caught a feral cat the first month we had her, and a baby possum. The cats had gotten used to Lucy, who was to old to care if they were in the yard. A black blur runs by, then another, and we hear yowling, hissing, spitting. The cat had made it through the gate, but it's tail hadn't, and Izzy had that tail and was pulling with all her 13 lbs LOL- we did make her let it go, but the cats don't seem to come in our yard anymore

Little terrier types have the biggest and brashest personalities. They're my all time favorite dogs. Izzy's great.

Brash is the perfect word! It's Izzy takes on the world, and she thinks she'd win too
