It took Izzy awhile to learn shake, and then one day she just could:) I was trying to hold the camera though and it was throwing her off because I couldn't see her paw LOL!
She really is, like she's not even sure it's for her. I have a feeling her original owners weren't big on the human food. I only giver her plain stuff though, mini schnauzers are prone to pancreatitis and such, so she gets a little bland chicken breast
I love it I love it I love it! :D I taught Blackie to shake when h was a teeny little puppy and it turned into a habit. He waves his paw all the time whenever he wants attention. LOL The dance part is TOO cute.
How did you begin to teach her down? I think I have seen trainers begin that trick with crawling under your leg to get the treat and then introducing the word.. but I am not sure that is how to do it.
We put the food down in our fist so her face had to follow, then pushed her gently down, she actually picked up down and sit so fast I'm not sure she hadn't already been taught at some time
I need to get that through to Brenda. She knows sit.. but she doesn't want to.. so she tries to get away with "squat" without putting her butt on the floor or ground. Willful dog! Even doesn't know ANY commands, but she is learning "no door" to keep her from jumping and scratching the doors when she wants out.
