Isn't it retarded that it takes a death to bring people together? My dad and my Uncle John didn't get along while growing up, so when they became adults they never really talked. Ever since I was born my dad has been trying to get together with them and build a relationship between our families. I've probably seen my uncle John maybe 10 times in my whole life. It's always comfortable and positive, but rare. He died a few months ago at 49 yrs old from a heart attack, and since then we've seen his family probably 4 or 5 times.
It's stupid and arrogant to think that people are going to be around forever. Too bad it always works out the same.
what's funny is that my aunt sue, my parents and me and my brother are the only people that have continually seen her on a regular, consistent basis all of our lives. my aunt janice is driving me HUTS! she thinks she's running everything.. and i want to be like.. lady you need to back the fuck off--you were never around, so what makes you think you have more say than the rest of us?
