Y'know I work with someone at home, named Daisy -- I hear she's been here before -- anyway. Actress. If you've seen a guy in a classic movie, she's probably blown him. That's not the point. She said something to me once, back when we hadn't known each other long. It was kinda bleak, but it stuck with me:

I always wondered if self-evaluations ever really ended up being anything but overly self-destructive or overly self-serving.

I guess I choose to see it more as the environment here changes in lots of ways -- maybe not so obviously, but moods are constantly changing along with the surroundings, the differing floods, new and old people... Therefore the experience of being a Warden, or an Inmate, is going to either subtly or overtly change, see? This is an easy way to provide tangible evidence of said changes -- good or bad.

Even so, wouldn't a more objective way of providing evidence of those changes be through outside evaluation?
