Off to Cannes and a reunion long overdue

Jun 19, 2012 22:27

After having slept for the entirety of their flight from Sweden to France, Gilbert found himself finally awake enough for the excitement to sink in completely. The gang was going to be back together again for the first time in FOREVER. It was going to be himself, Francis, and Antonio with their significant others plus Eeva and Linus in CANNES! Gilbert's phone suddenly vibrated with an incoming text.

## Once you arrive, go outside the west terminal entrance. I sent Étienne, you remember our butler here at the Chateau, to pick you all up. He's waiting outside for you. You're going to love Maman's new "party" limo. See you soon, Arthur and I are already at the Chateau in the pool. I'm not wasting poolside sex to pick you up at the airport! xoxoxoxoxoxo ## (PHOTO ATTACHED TO TEXT MESSAGE)

Gilbert flinched a bit at the vibration of his phone in his back pocket, but his pale face soon lit up as he read Francis's message. Leave it to that woman to have a sweet ride like that! And of course they were back at the pool doing THAT. Francis and Gilbert were longtime friends and cut from much the same cloth. It was exactly what he would be doing if he were the one waiting there with Eduard ( ... )

Antonio and Lovino's flight from Barcelona had just touched down by the time Gilbert and the others made it to the Chateau. True to form, Antonio slept for the entirety of their short trip after charming the flight attendant into bringing them a snack from first class. His sleeping should not be confused with n0t caring, however. Antonio was indeed very excited to see his friends again. He was also like a housewife over good gossip to get to see for himself just how much Gilbert had changed and what this Eduard had to him that none of Gilbert's conquests had to date.

The nudge of Lovino's elbow to the ribs awoke the spaniard and the two made their way to the arrivals terminal to claim their luggage. The suits that they had packed for Cannes? They were in there and damn did they look good!

===>text message sent to both Francis and Gilbert as Antonio had no idea which one of them he was supposed to meet up with##Grab your amantes and get ready for a good time because we're here at the airport! Is there a ride waiting or should I start ( ... )

Eeva had scurried around in a whirl with the enthusiasm of Gilbert. It was decided, she approved of Eddie's man. She liked him, he understood spontaneous fun and frankly they shared a mischievous side to their nature, if not a meddling one too. They could be friends. They could ESPECIALLY be friends after their little stop off to get clothes for Cannes at which point Gilbert could have made his mother proud in his ambitions to dress them properly to drag them off to see his friends. She was star struck enough to think that she would even be visiting FRANCE, and not just France but basically the one household in France where the best cooking outside of Salli and Essi's kitchen could be found ( ... )

Gilbert, Eduard, Eeva and Linus arrived back at the chateau just as Etienne was opening the door for Antonio and Lovino. Gilbert could tell it was them because he could hear the familiar Italian curses emanating from the interior of the sleek, black vehicle. Gilbert grew up with Lovino, and they were effectively family, so he could understand everything that was being verbally hurled out the door. That didn't last long though before Antonio stepped out with that same doofy smile that had eased Gilbert through many a difficult time ( ... )

Etienne opened the door to the limo and Antonio gently nudged Lovino awake. He had been reluctant to do it because he always thought his little Italian looked so adorable when he was asleep. For once it wasn't Antonio who had been napping as he was far too eager to see his friends again. A few choice curses were hurled out the door as the two climbed out of the extravagant vehicle. It was no more than a heartbeat before Antonio found himself being shouted at by a different voice and corralled into a massive hug ( ... )

Eeva needed little invitation for introductions. She gleefully accepted a hug from the Spaniard after Gilbert introduced them. (Even if he had introduced them as; The Souvenirs I picked up when I was North of here. It was all in good jest.) Linus was, once again, painfully shy next to these more dominant personality types and seemed to recede into himself a little, sticking close to Eeva and Eduard. Like minds. People he felt most safe around. He wasn't rude. Of course he was polite and shook hands, though he did seem startled that some of the people here had the very Southern European practice of greeting people with a kiss on the cheek. Eeva didn't seem to mind. He felt a little unprepared to be kissed, even in greeting. He'd adjust though. It was just a new situation. A little bit of his stutter returned. It seemed not to be an actual speech impediment, but came when Linus was nervous (it didn't help that he was feeling self conscious that his accent was heavy or at least wasn't as smooth and nice as the French, Spanish, and ( ... )

After having stripped down and jumped into the hot tub like an overgrown child, Gilbert settled down into one of the comfortable corner seats, getting over how the heat of the heat of the water made the slight sunburn on his back and shoulders sting for a moment. It was all because of the last dip in the river they'd all taken earlier in the day before leaving camp back in Sweden. It had started to wash his sunscreen off and there was too much excitement surrounding their change in plans to even think about putting more on ( ... )

Francis noticed the way Gilbert looked at Eduard. Before, Gilbert always looked as his liaisons as a wolf might look at a steak. It was eat it then move on. That was no longer the case, there was a softness to his eyes now, eyes were windows into a persons thoughts and soul and Gilbert was in Love, badly, deeply and appeared to be irrevocably in love with the handsome, bespectacled Estonian. He also noticed what looked like a chick, a fluffly yellow CHICK just sitting on top of the man's head. What faerie looked like a baby chicken? He'd have to ask Arthur if that Chick always sat on Gilbert's head ( ... )

Listening to Francis telling him of the general plan for the trip, Gilbert wriggled his toes some more, swishing his feet in the water just to see the little ripples interrupt the bubbling from the jets. The simple, childish game helped keep his mind distracted from things that he still had a difficult time processing. He knew he loved Eduard a hell of a lot and that he would probably have nothing going for him at all if it weren't for the genius, but the reformed party animal extraordinaire still struggled to sort out some of the things that had been going through his head recently. Francis' news had brought it all back up again for him. During the entirety of the flight to Cannes from Sweden, Gilbert was manically excited to finally relax and let loose a bit, but whenever there was something taking up the space in his mind that the beer hadn't yet muddled, Francis always had a way of making him face it head on.

Verdammt...just when I thought I knew what the fuck was going on in my head...Gilbert toed at the bubbles again, a small ( ... )

Francis reached out and squeezed Gilbert's shoulder. "I did not know Eduard was injured. I can understand the fear. When the one you love is threatened, there is great fear and no shame in admitting so." Francis stated and then smiled. "Would you believe me if I said the first time I laid eyes on him in kindergarten? Why do you think I have chased him all these years. Once I had him, I was not letting go. I have been asking him to Marry me, every night, in French, all year. He finally figured out enough French to understand me." Francis chuckled, revealing how Arthur had excepted his proposal and then he waggled his eyebrows and gave a saucy KNOWING and damn near feral grin.

"I might add, he was also having a wonderful orgasm when I asked this last time." Francis stuck out his tongue with teeth bared in a toothy grin and a mischievous wink. If Arthur found out he divulged that tidbit, he was getting the couch treatment later.

Until he convinced his husband with seduction to change his mind.

Eeva and Linus had wandered inside to grab something to eat, leaving Arthur sitting on his own, sipping tea at the edge of the balcony. Hearing footsteps, he looked up from the book he'd been reading before the guests' arrival to see his shamelessly naked husband sauntering over. "I can see that look on your face. Are you finally finished tormenting them for now, love?"

Arthur gave up on being able to read at all for a while and slipped his bookmark into place before closing the book and setting it aside. He poured some more tea from the pot into his delicately handled cup, allowing a breif smile as the golden ring on his finger caught the light. He still found himself surprised by it all sometimes. He was actually married to Francis now, and the frenchman could finally see EVERYTHING. Arthur didn't have to hide anything for the safety of his sanity anymore. He noticed little Rosie perching in his husband's damp golden hair as he reached the table. Arthur angled his cheek for a kiss.

Francis automatically bent to place an affectionate kiss on the offered cheek then had Arthur stand up, just long enough for Francis to sit down and replace Arthur's chair for his lap. He hooked arms around Arthur's waist as his tea loving husband sipped elegantly and at ease in Francis' lap at long last ( ... )

Even though Francis was still slightly damp from the hot tub, Arthur didn't object to the change in seating, even reclining comfortably against the warmth of his husband's chest. It was strange, really. Arthur was a prince of the fae and a person fully capable of taking care of himself, but every time Francis wrapped him in those fuzzy arms of his he couldn't help but feel safe. He felt loved and secure and it was an altogether pleasant feeling. Arthur reclined his head against his husband's shoulder, resting cheek to cheek with him and offering a smile at his comment ( ... )

Francis just sort of looked at Arthur as if his head at been cut off. Then he laughed. "Oh Arthur..." Francis began then leaned in close.

"... Did you not figure out you married a sugar daddy?" Francis asked rather gesturing around the chateau. His mother was stinking rich and had been funneling money, stocks and bonds into an account for Francis since he was a FETUS.

"I think a small house is not beyond my means nor is putting you through school. I know you want to go through university and I also know you are not happy unless you are learning something." Francis added, refreshed with Arthur yet again.
