thanks marta. i have my connections and special vision. i was like, why am i photographing walls again? i can't do this but i'm really really draw to surfaces and texture. and the colors are amazing. these are all over aix. magnificent. i miss my bmore crew and shows and my bike!
joe...i knew you were going to take these pictures...it's impossible not to since every wall in aix is beautiful in that sense...but i wouldn't go nuts with it unless you do it in an interesting way. the kid aram who was in the program the semester before me did his whole project on it, and he has two huge photos of the wall textures in the aix show that's up at mica now. in other words, his are really boring, yours are pretty, but not that interesting.
however, that first picture i find completeing enthralling and interesting. i was really looking at it for like 5 minutes.
i completely agree burgs. thanks. like you said it's hard to pass up. i too find myself only attracted aesthetically and see no further pursuit of some project. they're more 'snap shots' to throw in the aix scrapbook. post your work yo'ster.
