I've been reading a lot more lately. When I was a child you could not stop me from reading. I'd try to scheme reading at the dinner table (incrediably rude? yes. did i care? no), when my parents would make me take a shower I'd spend 45 minutes in there because I had snuck in a book. That was kinda stupid on my part and I'd like to apologize to

I was exactly like that when I was younger, but I read so much less now. I mean, I still read a lot but it's in different forms (messageboards, lj, etc). I have to retrain myself to read longer things like books. God, that sounds horrible!

not really, books take longer attention spans that i think sometimes adults don't have. we get older and we start scheduling out our days and we don't see books fitting in. unless it's in really short intervals, and most people who read just to read don't read like that. lol sorry i just woke up, it makes sense to me.

I'm a book addict, too. Sometimes I think it'd be great to have a free book exchange on LJ. As in, have people post their book wish lists and what they have to trade, and exchange with people who have books they want. Postage would be pretty pricey, though : /
