Sleeping in the un-air-conditioned, second-story bedroom in my San Diego townhouse during the current (humid!) heatwave was difficult until I set up a two foot tall fan on a chair at the foot of my bed blowing cool air at maximum intensity in the direction of my feet. Now: bliss
