Now that I'm single, I kick myself more often when I meet cute girls and I look totally gross - after three days out in the sun, not shaving, etc. - if I were you, I would have run away screaming.

i would only run away screaming if you had pulled out a knife, a gun, or some sort of weapon...or had worms or weird and squishy/slimy coming out of any orifice.
