the only reason everyone says he was so great is because he got shot. if some homeless guy gets shot they would say he was the best guitarist ever, thats how loosely it is used. I wish people would recognize the true guitarist, not just the guys named DimeBag, if your that into drugs i doubt you can be that great anyway. music is for people who can hear it not see it vividly in color during maryjane trips.

First off, fuck you dude! Dimebag Darell was one of the greatest guitar players and you analogy of a homeless person and a guitar made no fucking sense. Are you telling me that Jimmy Hendrix is a shitty guitar player because he did drugs? Are you telling my that Bob Marley was a bad guitar player because he did drugs? Are you telling me that Keith Richards was a bad guitar player because he did drugs? I don't know what "true guitar" players you're talking about. Hanson possibly? Fucking post me back and tell me some "true guitar" players in your mind.

i was just trying to get at the point that everyone thinks he is such a great guitar player because he got shot. I never even heard of Sir Dimebag the great before this whole thing, and Pantera isnt exactly the most popular band. The effect of someone dying just adds to their legecy and just like Marley and Hendrix, both being respectable musicians, but in dimebags case i think it is undeserved and if he was such a great guitarist i think he would have been more popular and respected before that crazy fan popped a cap in his dome.

If you haven't heard of Dimebag Darell then you are listening to KS 107.5 too much. There are plenty good guitar players that aren't that popular. Ever heard of Jake Kiley of Strung Out? He's fucking amazing and a lot of people don't know much about that band, unless you are into small punk bands. Have you ever heard of Adam Dutkewicz of Killswitch Engage? Probably not, but he's a great guitar player too that's in a small band. Pantera was a very big band, they've played in front on hundreds of thousands of people before. I don't know where you've been for the past 15 years, but Pantera was one of the biggest metal acts ever. If you keep on listening to the radio, you're not going to find many good guitar players in small bands.

Fuck both ya caus rap is the shiznit. I don't know about you Metal Head but i really like the nice smooth beat of rap, who needs that noisy guitar from Dimebag Dummby of Hanson the Sucky. Put some snoop or Eminem on your radio that's the real music.
