Pondering, doubting, hating, and a reminder to breathe.
Being reminded to forget.
Cigarettes provide an escape.

When one and all leaves me simmering in utter perplexity,

I know that no one has an answer.

How to tell them:

I’m running again,

That I am weak,

That I’m reaching toward an idle promise.

I love this also.
It pours out your heart under the mark of a cigarette, and out of a careless breath of smoke. All the while, you beat yourself up over the fact that you shouldn't be addicted to the nicotine habit in the first place, but to you at the moment, isn't of importance. For the most important thing, the dire thing, is your heart and how it feels about him.
It's you who matters, not the cigarettes or the smoke, it's the way he looks at you when you see him, it' knowing it's worth breaking all your own rules.

i truly am thankful for your response to this.
idk if it's because i've needed to hear that it's okay and i'm okay in my decision, because everybody else in my life has told me that i'm stupid for moving back for him.
i love your understanding of what i wrote, you just get it.
