Today I realized after I walked around the bag for the 482nd time that maybe toothpaste isn't the best birthday gift to get a good friend ( Read more... )

get her something nice. it depends on her personality though. if she likes sweets, pretty things, cute things, flowers, anything like that, get her stuff that she likes having to do with her interests.

Yes, that's the perfect answer. Thank you. Things like that are what I usually get. Either that or something that will make someone laugh.

...Except I've done that before a bunch and it feels like cheating to go back and reuse an interest. Hummm. We don't talk a lot about items either.

No it's not. I'm not entirely hopeless.

Oh! Then what type of toothpaste is it? What makes it special enough to be a gift? New suggestions depend on your answer~

They seemed neat and I wanted to try them so I thought she would too. I still think she would but I don't know if it's enough. You know?

Let's see... I think...

Surprise her? While there are... different types of things for every person, if you aren't sure then maybe set things up. That is, if she likes surprises. It can be a little sweet, a little generic, but still lighten up her day. It can be unique, maybe an inside joke, and it'll still be nice. Little things to remember, the details, really can make a difference.

... I think, aha. The surprise can be on any scale, it all depends on what type of person she is. Or maybe, even if she doesn't like surprises you can plan something quiet that matches you two.

Ah, since it's for a friend most of what I said applies for the last. Just make sure to open about it, and genuinely do this to make her happy. Because that's what matters most in the end, hm? ^^

I hear you... But are you sure that's not an idea more for a girlfriend than a friend who is a girl?

I might have gotten a bit sidetracked. Or very.

Is there anything that she's mentioned before, maybe in passing, that you could get her?

I was going to say.. Are you sure you weren't thinking about what you want to give someone or what you want them to give you...? It sure sounded like it. Hwaha, I hope it happens for you!

No~pe. She likes feminine things like fashion (this is my weak point and I really know nothing) and animals (she has enough) and character goods and stuff, but I've bought that kind of stuff before.

Toothpaste? Hm. hm. hm. Might be better than what you got me. ♥
(kiddin' kiddin')

At least I know what I'm getting you for Christmas. Sweet 'n simple.

As for her, try shoes. Girls 'n shoes always go together, yeah?

...I'm going to get like twelve toothbrushes as gifts this next year now, aren't I?

What would you want? And I'm so not smooth enough. "Ahem, excuse me. What's your shoe size? Oh, no reason, I'm practicing for a role for Cinderella. How was I?"

They come in all shapes, sizes 'n colors? You should have one for every day of the week (or year?) ♥

Things for the bath, ways to pamper yourself. Most girls don't mind that. Some places let you send seasonal flowers, or plants. Always thought that might be kinda a fun gift. But, if you're talkin' me? I saw some twister sheets that I'm thinkin' would be killer on my king-sized.

You could pull off the cinderella thing. I've seen some of your dramas. There's no foolin' me. ♥

Oh boy.

...ah right, that's you. You're in a league of your own. Your answers wouldn't fit just anyone. (We can discuss the sheets later though, if you need help deciding.)

I haven't ever figured out how to act, believably, for myself. It's totally an impossibility.

Is she into cutesy electronic stuff? Maybe one of these'll do the trick.

She would HATE the alarm clock. (But I would laugh a lot imagining her using it the first time... wait, it's not about me.)

The danbo is really cute, isn't it? But what does it do?

Haha, yes, it's the cutest nightmare for people who have trouble getting up. XD

Danbo is a little less menacing; His eyes light up and while I can't remember if he moves or not (I'm betting no), his limbs are posable and inspire a lot of people to take cute/quirky photographs of him. :3 It might be a good prop if she has photography as one of her hobbies or something.

It would be. And I'm pretty sure she's prone to tantrums. I would be afraid for her pets if she throws it at something.

Hummm... I'll think about it. Thanks a lot.
