This summer I got to go to Fiji and Australia with Alisa and Jen! It was amazing! Here are some pictures from Fiji, I'll post Australia pictures later. warning: there are a TON of pictures behind the cut. if it's really a problem for you guys seeing them, let me know and maybe i'll make several smaller posts instead. ♥

FIJI:

Lautoka:
We spent the day here before our cruise departed.

all the phonebooths were awesome

we ate lunch here. santa!

me looking gross after travelling about 10 hours and then being awake for another 12 hours

Cruise:
We went on a small cruise (about 70 people) around the Yasawa Islands in Fiji. They're really small and relatively untouched. There are some small villages, but they basically consist only of houses and churches. All their business is done on trips to the main island.

Jen is on the left looking like a dork, Alisa is taking the picture. I had to post this because it's really the only halfway decent shot of our room on the boat.

champagne on the first night

hot mamas

yeah, they danced with us.

the ladies in the village set up a shell market and we went and bought stuff from them

in the village they collect rain water from the roof

this is through a dirty window so the picture sucks, but it totally looks like california

this is the best water picture i have at the moment, the water was really beautiful though. clear and clean. blue and aqua with white sand.

i guess you can't see it that well, but most of the guys wear skirts called sulus- this is the crew from our boat

the lounge in the boat had a mirrored ceiling... too bad we had nothing better to use it for than taking awesome pictures.

sugar cane, there were TONS of sugar cane fields

through a window... a house on the main island

Garden of the Sleeping Giant:
a rainforest-y tropical garden with an awesome orchid garden

Nadi:
a gross, touristy city. lautoka was way better.

bricks of soap in a grocery store, there was another HUGE stack of them to the left- we never figured out what they were for. laundry?

outside of our hotel room

crazy cannibal phones
