Mexico to Europe!

Last post I mentioned how Lauren would be here in about two months and now she has been gone again for 3 days!  :-(  Yes, she is back in Scotland, but we sure had an incredible time with her here!  It was nice that I actually got to see her this time other than late at night after work; we actually got to do things together!  Mexico was amazing!  Due to being so broke, laziness, three different people feeling gross at three different times during the trip... I didn't get to do all that I wanted to, but it was fantastic to just get to relax by the pool with cocktails and my favourite people or swim in the ocean and not have to worry about the rest of life for a while!  OMG, every single thing we ate in Mexico was AMAZING!  So delicious, and there were some really good restaurants we found.  At one the waiter talked to us a lot, but it was cool b/c he was interesting.  He was talking to us in just about every language we know and telling us about all his jobs, his ex-wife and his soon to be new wife, how he was so much in love... it was so cute!  Learned a new phrase, though forgot to ask how to correctly say it in Spanish:  Apron Man.  In Mexico that is basically what they call a house husband only it has a much more negative connotation then house husband may sometimes be thought of to have here.  We frequently walked the malecon (boardwalk) which, despite the pushy vendors, beggars, etc., was really nice.  It was just a really great time all around!  I'm sure Jenni will make her post soon so you will be able to read more then.  The week of vacation didn't seem to go by too incredibly fast, but as soon as I stepped back into work I was like, "Wait, how am I here again already?"  lol!  I guess it is always that way.

It has been a little difficult to get back into the swing of things at work, but I will manage.  We are training more managers for other stores right now.  That is always interesting, and nice right now b/c since the other managers (mainly Melba) are training them I don't have to close so much!  Of course I still work late, but it is nice to not have to worry about all the closing b.s.

So, keeping the work talk down to a minimum, it is time to turn things around!  I have to start saving money!  Stop eating out so much, stop buying things I can't really afford, stop charging things, etc.  I am going to get a plan of action going so we can pay down our debt and even, here comes a novel idea, save money!  Also, need to step things WAY up on my business and start bringing more money in as well.  The plan is Europe next year!  First, a jaunt over to Scotland to visit Lauren and her new flat, etc. then to a wedding in France!  OMG, I can't wait!  But it will not be easy to make sure we are in the position to make it happen when the time comes.  I have to be tougher on myself!

Marie is here visiting!  Yay, it has been a while!

I guess that is it for now.  Ciao!
