so it turned out anique couldn't come because of her overprotective mother, but the night turned out to somethin' else...
I ended up taking Naomi N. to the concert and we had quite an adventure. it went somethin' like this:

Once upon a time there were two girls named Naomi...

Naomi 1 (me) went to get gas on the way to pick up Naomi 2 because her tank was low. she was 10 minutes early picking up Naomi 2 so she went around the corner and parked (illegally it turns out) and listened to the radio for while. then she went inside and the 2 Naomi's were off to Chelsea's concert. There were doin' just fine and were on 295 and everything, when 295 made a sudden turn and the girls kept going straight. Now they were somehow on 55 or somethin' like that. This could get much worse. it wasn't that bad. they still had about half an hour until the concert started. Naomi 1 took the next exit in an attempt to make a "U-turn" type thingy, but ended up on some other highway. Somehow, after many attempts and exiting and turning around, the girls ended up at the Deptford Mall. Naomi 1 recognized the mall from summers past at Appel Farm visiting days. The girls parked and went inside Sears. they asked the first person they saw for directions. he was quite shady, but the girls had run out of options. He also might have been a bit high, but o well. he told the girls somethin' about going around somethin' and there were supposed to be like a lot of lights or something. The girls tried hard to follow his advice, but somehow ended up on yet another highway. This time, they achieved a u-turn and found their way back to the mall, only to end up on 42 south. they got off at the next exit and found themselves and a quite shady gas station in the middle of nowhere. Keep in mind that by now the concert had already started. there wasn't really an inside to the gas station, just some guy walking around, but he was kind of nice. anyway, Naomi 1 was desperately looking for a place to park and saw an adjacent parking lot, but then she realized that it was a liquor store and that there was a sign saying parking for customers only and neither of the girls was gonna be buyin' any liquor any time soon. anyway, Naomi 1 put the car in reverse and then the car came to a sudden halt. Had they hit a parked vehicle? The story will soon tell....So they finally parked randomly in what was definitely not a parking spot and asked the guy for directions which he gave and was quite helpful. the car that the two Naomi's had possibly hit appeared to have no damage or white marks on the front bumper, so the girls continued on their journey. Finally, the gas station man's directions had been correct and the girls were on their way to chelsea's concert. With only a short mishap of passing the church (that's right, the concert was in a church!) and then having to turn around AGAIN, they girls were looking for a place to park. they found a lot nearby and went into what appeared to be an entrance. Not so much. Spikes came out of the ground and Naomi 1 was worried about the state of the tires on her car, but by then the girls were already 45 minutes late to the concert, so they walked to the church and went in. It was intermission when they got there, so they chilled with chelsea, her girlfriend, courtney, and courtney's friend, alex for a bit. Then they started playing and chelsea was amazing, as usual. It felt short to the two Naomi's who had completely missed the first half. Afterword they went outside to check the tires and, luckily the spikes had been dull and the tires were unharmed. then, they went back to say goodbye to chelsea who promises to attend Naomi 1's production of Oklahoma! on November 20th at 2:00 p.m. with Naomi 1 playing aunt eller. then the two girls left. But the night wasn't over. they got some cheese fries from an only slightly shady italian place and then they hit the road. The trip home was pretty uneventful as the girls recounted the events of their evening.

Now Naomi 1 is sitting in front of her computer at 1:00 in the morning recounting this story to all of you. She has to be in sunday school tomorrow (today?) at 8:00 in the morning and her dad is her teacher, so there's no skippin'. o well.

until later...

peace, <3, and wild and crazy nights. WOOT woot.
