I'm autistic too so I relate to needing routines. Same goes for my youngest kid. Things are changing in our lives and it is tough, but eventually we'll get there.
You have a lot to cope with. I can see why you dislike change. It must have taken a lot of strength to keep your own traditions, since (I'm guessing), this must have been caused by a big change in your life.
I did solo Thanksgivings for a few years: turkey breast, stuffing, potatoes and pumpkin bread. It isn't the same but it is worth it to still mark a date in our internal calendars. I'm glad your solo Christmas was alright, even if different.
I absolutely love that you did this. I've spent so many Christmases alone in my past, and I had to do a lot of those things for myself, as well. Not so much out of the same need for routine, as I crave *some* types of change and *small* adventures, but because it somehow just didn't feel right without them. And you did survive. It's important to know you can. Good for you. <3

But you did a good job forming your own celebration, and I think your decision to treat yourself kindly was a smart one.
