[Iroh sits calmly infront of the fire, takes a sip of his tea before starting his stoytelling as soon as the sun sets, looking at each of the kids whom are around the fire.]

This happened a thousands of years ago, it tells the story of the very origins of fire bending. Hear atently because I will tell you no lie, it was whispered to me by two magnificent Dragons, Great Masters of Fire bending.

[He moves his hands and the fire grows bigger, shooting up at the sky but being careful to not to make it hurt any children.]

At the beggining of time, the population of a far away nation lived in darkness, unable to survive the crude winters nor to face their natural predators. The people lived on a time of darkness, almost about to face their own extiction.

[The fires takes the form of people that seem to be enduring terrible weathers, also showing a few amorphous forms that seem to attack them.]

However, at the time, also lived wonderful creatures: The Dragons. They were considered sacred, divine, almost like Gods for their power; a distinct control over fire which was considered the principal source of life.

[The fire takes form of various dragons, moving around the fire and on the air; each of them breathing out ‘fire’.]

But the Dragons weren’t know for their sociability. They didn’t consider humans worth to share their most precious secret with; they saw in the hearts of men that they would use it as a war weapon, because that was their nature.

[The fire shows some men comfronting Dragons but the beasts would only surround them and make the forms dissappear. The fire suddenly calms down, looking almost extinguished, making shadows engulf the group for only a second.]

One day, a small boy had wondered too far away from his tribe, ending getting lost on the woods; he tried to get back but soon he realized it was just a matter of time before a monster found him first. It was then when he stumbled with a Red Dragon. The Dragon, though it was young, hold a great grudge against humans.

[A small blue flame appears and takes the form of a little boy, green flames around him to represent the forest and then a magnificent Red flame for the Dragon.]

But this Dragon hadn't been always like this. When he was a child himself, he blindly believed that the human beings couldn't be as bad as the elders portrayed them. He had insisted several times that the dragons should help them or else they'll face their extinction. Desperate to prove his point, he had decided to visit a human village; unfortunately, the men failed to see his good intentions and ended attacking him. The Dragon barely managed to escape, hurt and near to death he returned to his clan; but the other dragons only regreted him, looking him down and saying he was only a shame for their species for trusting the humans.

With his pride and honor trashed he couldn't bring himself to look at any of his commadres anymore, because those were considered the most important values for dragons. So he ran away from his clan, hiding from both humans and dragons. Being then when he started to live on his own exhile.

[The flames changed and represented the story as Iroh was telling it. Many different colors appeared to represent each the humans and the dragons. In the end changing back to show the little boy in blue and the red Dragon.]

The Dragon's first thought was to attack the kid, but soon decided against it; knowing very well that it would be dishonorable to harm an unarmed being. Rather than let him free, however, the Dragon decided to take the boy with him and present it to his clan; with the hope they would accept them again, that way regaining his honor.

As he thought all this, a small pack of wolves had sneaked up on them, determined to have the small boy for dinner. But then, surprinsingly enough, the Dragon had protected the child, slashing away the wolves with his claws and grabbing the kid by his clothes with his teeth, flying away to his cave.

Confused by his actions, the Dragon decided to wait until he found the reason as to why he had protected the kid, not wanting to face the other dragons until he had cleared that up. The small boy, from his part, was no longer scared of the dragon; he felt comfortable by his side and firmly decided to stick by the dragon.

As days passed, friendship started blossoming between the child and the dragon. The small boy had managed to take down all the barriers the dragon had created to protect himself from the outside world, managing also to soothe his grumpy attitude.

Their friendship grew to a point where the Dragon finally decided to teach the boy Firebending; seeing the boy's purehearted nature was sincere. The boy resulted to be an applicated student, learning the art of controling fire in very little time.

[The flames keep changing as the story continues. Showing how the Dragon protected the kid from the wolves, how he took him to the cave. Then showing them interacting with each other, the kid being nice and friendly with the dragon, soon also showing them flying together, seeing many parades as their friendship strengthens. Finally showing the boy learning firebending.]

As time passed, the small boy (had grown into a noble young man) started to grow worried about the whereabouts of his people. The Dragon felt reluctant at first but he eventually brought the boy back to his village; knowing that the humans needed him, seeing how they were close to their damnation for their lack of knowledge over fire.

When they arrived to the place, the boy saw with sadness on his features how much his people suffered; but he still felt highly attached to the Dragon, he didn't want to separate from him, so he asked him to stay as well. However, the people of the small village started attacking the dragon as soon as they saw him. Fearing he might hurt them unnintentionally and with that lose his friendship with the boy, the Dragon didn't fight back; but it was then surprised when the boy was the one protecting him this time.

The boy felt truly dissapointed of how his people were acting but he still hoped there was some goodness inside the hearts of each of them. He expressed his feelings intensaly to the village and managed to touch their inner feelings deeply and made them feel ashamed of themselves.

It was then when several dragons descended from the sky, though this time the people didn't dare to raise a hand against them. The elder of the dragons addressed himself to the Red Dragon, expressing how amazed he was at him following his convictions and managing to find a man worth of passing the secret art of firebending to. All the dragons respected him dearly for his achievement and he told him he was welcome to come back home.

Even if the Red Dragon felt proud and complete to have finally regained his honor, he declined the offer, wanting to stay with the boy and teach the humans more about firebending to future generations.

That was how men learned the very mystic art of firebending, and it was passed by generations to generations, to this day.

[As always, the fire kept along with the story, showing the actions of the boy and the Dragon as Iroh spoke them. The fire had many colors representing the other dragons and the people. When he finished telling the last sentence, the forms in the fire banished, making the flames settle back to normal.]

And there's where our story ends, children.

(( Alright my lovelies! If your chara decided to drop by for the 'festival' you don't really necessarily need to comment on this entry. You can make your chara make a post on their own journal and start your own threat or something.

Is a rather small like festival, there gonna be sweets and marshmallows on a stick to burn heat on the fire! In the middle there's a rather large campire with smalls seats for each of the children. There's a couple of tables filled with food and some sweets, also there's a table with plenty of entertaining stuff [color pencils, papers to draw into, handcrafty stuff, things like that! xD;].

Iroh would also give each children a mask, each of them are different and they can look like whatever you might like. There's going to be fireworks sometime after the storytelling ends, not too late though, because Iroh doesn't want to children to be out of their houses too late at night. The fireworks will take different forms of random things, you can make that up and say your character saw this and that. Your chara can chose to stay all night/fall asleep on the tea shop or something; I'm sure Iroh can came up with some improvised beds.

I'm posting this now because I'm not sure If I'd be able to be online at night. xD; But this will happen right after the sunset, mmkay? You're all allowed to NPC the heck out of Iroh xD Just don't make him a baby eater or anything, yeah? |D;;; Just keep in mind how much of awesome he is. ;D He'll most likely be around looking after the children and stuff, yeah.

Um… have fun? ))

subtext ftw, festival, iroh so made this up, chibi!event, tl;dr, phear muns mad creative skills, storytelling
