Of Synths and Leaves

My visit home today was almost surreal. From start to finish, I mean, so surreal it was almost frightening. It was like stepping back into a portal into 50's America, where everyone smiles, the neighbors wave, and the dog is always happy to see you. The time of year too, it's absolutely stunning. I'll focus on the sentiment of the post and ignore the "ripe little dreams" passage.

I'm not sure if I'm happy for you or not.
Surreal is not easy to classify as bad or good, and the 1950's were remarkable for their hypocrisy. To be honest, I'm not sure what your feelings are about that homecoming.

Oh well.

Ignore what you will, it was an honest, if short post.

The homecoming was just odd. I wish I could've gotten more "odd" in there, but seriously. Writer's block. Like whoa. The second I sat down to type it.

Oh! and ELP isn't all that obscure, they pretty much invented synth-rock back in '71. I'll pop it on the server for you if I get a chance at some point, although I do warn that it IS actually 20 minutes long...
