i have an incredible book to recommend you. you should attempt to find books by christopher alexander. he's ostensibly writing about architecture, but he's actually deriving a way to understand order and life, and make meaning objective. it's a very phenomenological account. you should read it, and we should talk about it!

hey! im still in the UK. 4 weeks to home. I've to get through this patch of examinations first! Should I buy the book?

great, you should definitely buy the book. check out the reviews for A Pattern Language and The Nature of Order, and see which you want. i bought the former and while i'm waiting for it to arrive, i'm reading the latter.

i'm really good, i like being in the states over the summer (i'm staying in the states all summer) even though it's going to get muggier than singapore. it's just extremely relieving to be around johnnies and in st john's. i have two part-time jobs and i do my own cooking and laundry. hate the weather, love being here, am doubtless going to eat too much ice cream... yeah well. how have you been? are your finals about to take place? you haven't written, here and via email, in a while.
