I always duck pre-emptively. Ducking post-emptively has always felt a little redundant.

Borders have their massive closing down sale on at the moment, which is bad because they were always nicer than Waterstones, but good because books I can afford! I have to go in there for christmas shopping anyway so maybe hopefully I might find some Eggers in there. I mean maybe he likes cheap books too so he'll be at the sale and will be all "hey John, nice livejournal. Here, have signed copies of my complete works for free. I like your style."

Thank you Mr Eggers, your style is also not so bad!

I'm reading Vincent Van Gogh's autobiography Dear Theo, which is really selections from letters he'd written to his brother over the years. Planning on giving it to a friend for X-mas but I don't think I'll finish it before then. Gonna have to give up, methinks, and get it from the library later.
